Going back to the theme of the show, Ali isn’t always the good guy and Ali isn’t always the bad guy. She’s a very complex character, which you see here. [She and Emily] have such an interesting relationship. What I love is letting these two characters figure out what their relationship is as the show progresses. It is complex, and it’s not black or white, and there are a lot of layers to that relationship that we’re going to continue to uncover as the show unfolds.

Anonymous asked:

What was immedietaly afterlife about? I just watched it and I'm so confused? Troian and shay both have sex with the same guy and take drugs and parties and everyone drinks this drink and dies?

Yeap basically after like a weird ritualistic suicide of cult both for some reason survived and they are suspicious against the other beliefs.
Apparently there “leader” use them for sex and gave them drugs and alcohol promoting some sort of afterlife if they followed him!
And is just so powerful cuz the talk they have about what it means to believe in a prophet and way of life, they questions blind faith, devotion, and one of the most important part the topic about the logic people use to convince themselves to truly believe in something bigger and something they think is going to save them.
The scary part is that this actually had happen more than once in our society!
